Run An MLM Home Based Business
Network Marketing Doesn't Have To Be A Dirty Word
I've been there and done that. Give it up because I was
losing money instead of making it. Running an
mlm home based
business just didn't work out for me - and I bet this
sounds familiar
to one or two of you to!
However,
I've come across a method that makes Network Marketing a lovely and
most importantly, profitable home based business to run.
First of all though I'll give you my past experience with network
marketing and why it didn't work out for me. Then I'll give
you an overview of the new way I am approaching my mlm home-based business.
#1 Why MLM Failed Me
Or did I fail it? I don't think I failed it, I think it
failed me.
My first network marketing experience came in 2001 with a company
called Kleeneze. Kleeneze are a mail-order catalogue company
where the distributors put the Kleeneze catalogues (household goods)
through people's door for a percentage of any sales through the
catalogue.
As with any other MLM organisation, you recruit other distributors to
do the same etc.
And as with any other network marketing company, all their methods of
recruiting new distributors were the same.
On my first day of joining Kleeneze I bit my lip and started going
round the streets popping the catalogue in peoples' letter boxes.
I hated doing this but it was absolutely essential in order
to build my new mlm business.
Then a
lady started running out of her house down the street after
me, saying "I don't
want this rubbish put through my letter box!"
Red faced, I took it from the lady and made a note not to go
back to that house again.
This happened time and time again, and for all the effort I put it, I
got minimal sales.
So I stopped doing the catalogues and decided to build a downline
instead.
I went to a local meeting in a hotel where they told you what to do in
order to recruit a downline. I was mortified!
This is what I was supposed to do but I didn't because I thought some
of the ideas were morally wrong. Also I am quite a shy
person, so I just didn't have the nerve to carry out some of the
techniques.
Go to the hotel meetings every
week
To keep on listening to how successful the 'top' people are
Approach friends and
family to join
I don't think so
Do the 3 foot rule
Grab, sorry I mean approach
anybody within 3 feet of you and persuade
them to join - you must be kidding, right?
Hand out flyers
What, stand on a street corner looking like a desperate idiot handing
out flyers to total strangers who only want to go shopping and have no
intention or inclination to join a network marketing company!
And there were many more desperate and embarrassing ways (in my own
personal point of view) to get people
to join your downline.
I did successfully recruit a small handful of people through
pay per
click advertising on the Internet, but I had to pay for that out of my
own pocket and I actually got into debt because of that.
So in the end I decided to cut my losses and resign to the fact that
network marketing was not for me.
I was very disappointed because I could see the enormous potential of
the compensation plan. I also saw first hand some of the top
distributors who were making thousands and thousands of pounds every
month.
So I knew it worked, but I just couldn't do the catalogues or the
methods of recruiting.
____________________________________________________________________________
Sidenote:
Now before I go any further, Kleeneze is a
very respectable company. They are loyal to their
distributors and there are many many successful distributors making a
lot of money. All I am saying is that this one was just not
for me.
____________________________________________________________________________
I still fancied the idea of an mlm home based business
and
looked at other network marketing companies, but all the
methods were the same to recruit your downline, so I ended my romance
with mlm.
Until....
... fast forward to 2008 when I came across a great network marketing
idea where you didn't have to physically sell anything, just get people
to join. So I joined that (for £5!).
#2 My New Way Of Doing MLM
The person who recruited me was doing his advertising on eBay (which is
how I came across him, even though I was not looking
for a network marketing opportunity). Great I thought, I'll
recruit via eBay too.
I was just about to buy the promotional dvds and set-up listings on
eBay when I came across a lady who had the best methods ever -
again, in my own opinion.
You see after my failed attempt at network marketing, and closure of my
word processing and house cleaning businesses, I turned my efforts onto
making money via my little
home-made websites Online.
This is where and what I am totally comfortable with and what I enjoy
learning about all the time. Really it is like making money
out of a hobby.
So when I read this woman's
book and learned how she builds her network
marketing organisation through her website and only her website, I was
very intrigued to say the
least.
But the best thing about her methods I liked the most is that:
- It's all done online via a website
- It's all automated
- You are in profit immediately
- Your leads are warm and very receptive.
So
none of
the old traditional methods are used to recruit your downline.

Sidenote:
I did say that I would only give you an overview
of the new methods I am using, because I cannot put them all down here
or I would have this lady's legal team knocking on my door for
copyright infringement from her book.

You can however read and download her free ebook by clicking
here.
So the morale of this story is to say that if you want an MLM
Home-Based
Business there are alternative ways run and sponsor/recruit
people into your
business.
These
new online methods make my feel comfortable and they are all totally
ethical and morally correct. I don't feel that network
marketing
is a dirty word anymore
